The Gould Legacy
The Gould Legacy
A 1945 alumna of the Central Maine General Hospital School of Nursing (now, Maine College of Health Professions), Hazel Gould and her husband, Ralph, were stalwart and longstanding benefactors of MCHP. In 2000, Mr. and Mrs. Gould created the Hazel H. Gould Scholarship Foundation to expand nursing education opportunities at MCHP. Their generosity was critical in the subsequent establishment of the Gould Center for Interprofessional Education at MCHP. As a result of their visionary support, the Gould Center provides Maine healthcare students with educational experiences that enhance collaboration and contribute to improved patient outcomes. Their funding has a direct and positive influence on the success of tomorrow’s healthcare professionals and the well-being of their patients.
