MCHP’s Medical Assistant (MA) course is designed to present the knowledge and clinical skills for students to enter the healthcare field and work in a variety of settings. Students, working small cohorts, will participate in hands on clinical, lab, and classroom instruction. This program qualified the student to sit for Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) national credential.
The Medical Assistant (MA) course is designed to present the knowledge and clinical skills necessary to become a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through American Medical Technologists (AMT). The student is introduced to the concepts of legal and ethical aspects of care, communication, documentation, and safety.
MCHP’s objectives for Medical Assistant (MA) training include:
- Accurately perform and document routine clinical procedures according to current office protocol.
- Collect, process, and test diagnostic specimens.
- Apply industry standards of quality control and safety principles in the workplace.
- Maintain legal and ethical standards and confidentiality for patient privacy.
- Effectively model verbal, nonverbal, and written communication principles and skills in the workplace.
- Demonstrate professionalism through attitude, organization and time management skills, and attire.
